The Association of Clinical Electron Microscopists (ACEM) aims
to promote awareness, teaching and best practice of clinical electron
microscopy, i.e. electron microscopy applied to human specimens
for the purpose of diagnosis and research.
The means of achieving this will be:
The establishment of a database of persons professionally interested
in clinical electron microscopy, and their special interests;
The holding of meetings in which lectures and workshops will be given
by specialists in the field of clinical electron microscopy, by both
ACEM members and non-members;
The setting up of a website to allow improved communication, problem-solving
and knowledge acquisition for ACEM members.
The promotion of electron microscopy and representation of electron
microscopists within the wider clinical and medical infrastructure.
