The ACEM/RCP database of UK diagnostic EM units prepared to accept external referrals.
ACEM has been asked by the president of the Royal College of Pathologists, Professor Peter Furness, if it would make available, via this website, a database of UK diagnostic EM units prepared to accept external referrals.
Pathologists can refer to this database for alternative options in the event of their institution having difficulties providing their own Electron Microscopy service. ACEM has therefore invited units to contribute to this important resource by supplying contact information and details of sample types they are willing to accept (once appropriate discussions had taken place). Please select the desired biopsy type from the list at right.
As of Sat 19 May 2012 there are 12 units registered with the Biopsy Referral Database.
Of these, 8 units are currently able to accept new referrals.
